However, it must be noted that my work was part-time and remote. In other words, I didn't really feel a part of a community at large. ![]() The most challenging part was that I felt the pay was low for my qualifications and there was little connection with other employees. ![]() As for flexibility, picking my own hours worked while I was home with young children. As for management, I always had someone to address my questions. I was also happy with the management and the flexibility. I learned a great deal because Pearson mandated a training that taught tutors how to teach writing in a direct manner so the students benefited from strategies offered. The focus was education and offering sound tutoring strategies to support student progress. The mission and vision at Pearson, in my opinion, were excellent. As such, much of my time was on the computer. I offered online literacy (reading and writing) tutoring at Pearson.
